The website is hosted by Vercel. Technical details such as your IP address, time of access, requested page, browser and device information may be processed to deliver the website, troubleshoot errors and prevent abuse. The website uses locally hosted fonts and media. We do not use optional analytics or marketing services here.
Information about processing by the hosting provider is available in the Vercel privacy notice .
Depending on your enquiry, Luca processes the occasion, date, time and duration, event location, guest count, ingredients, space and power conditions, as well as your name, email address, phone number, company, product requirements and an additional message. You edit these details in your browser. The information sent for address and availability checks is described below. Selecting an option, asking a free-form question, copying or downloading does not submit a catering enquiry.
When you explicitly submit an enquiry, we validate the details again on the server. The validated version is transferred to our email system through Google Apps Script. We use it for personal review, a reply and preparation of a possible event. The confirmation copy contains the submitted details and is sent to the email address provided. If your email program loads the fixed brand image from our website, the hosting provider processes technical access data; we do not use an individual opening pixel. An enquiry does not reserve a date or conclude a contract.
A technical identifier, checksum and delivery status help prevent duplicate submissions and clarify an uncertain receipt. These records are kept separately from the complete enquiry contents. The server-side delivery record has no automatic expiry so that even an older submission with an uncertain status is not accidentally sent again. We may use time-limited technical enquiry counters to limit abuse.
If your browser supports on-device speech recognition with an already installed language pack, you can dictate after explicitly selecting the microphone. Luca requires processing on your device, uses no remote fallback and stores no audio recording. The recognized text first appears as editable text in the current input. Dictation itself sends no question or enquiry. Manage microphone permission in your browser.
When you enter an event address, the search text is sent through our server to the Swiss building-address search at geo.admin.ch (swisstopo). If no suitable result is available, we use OpenRouteService, operated by HeiGIT in Germany. OpenRouteService calculates the driving route from the start and destination coordinates. Search text and coordinates may be personal data, particularly for a private home address. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and other planning fields are not sent to these services.
A known starting address may be recognised locally. Provider information is available in the HeiGIT privacy policy · swisstopo / geo.admin.ch. When you enter a catering date, our server and Google Apps Script perform a read-only check of the requested period against the existing Google Calendar. The start and end are sent, derived from the date, time and duration; if the start time is open, the whole day is checked. Your name, address, email, phone number and message are not sent to this calendar service. The check is repeated before a new dated catering enquiry is submitted; a busy or unverifiable period blocks that submission. An open date remains a general enquiry. The check does not reserve anything or create a calendar entry.
Luca is a digital, AI-assisted adviser. Once the free AI feature is configured and verified server-side, automatic mode tries Groq first. It processes the current free question, at most six earlier free questions, bounded public conversation state and relevant knowledge sources. Missing configuration, exhausted quota or errors fall back to local answers, never automatically to a paid model. Contact us and the structured enquiry fields work without AI.
Structured planning/contact fields, route proofs and submission data are not included. Recognised email addresses, phone numbers and street addresses in free text cause local processing; not every confidential detail can be detected. Please do not enter confidential data in free questions. Public conversation state stays within the current visit. Groq may retain inputs/outputs for reliability and abuse monitoring for up to 30 days unless actual data controls exclude this. We do not claim Zero Data Retention is already enabled. Information is in the Groq privacy policy .
The current conversation stays in the open page’s memory. To let you resume interrupted catering planning, Luca also saves the entered planning and contact fields and the editing step in this browser’s local storage (localStorage). The deadline is 24 hours from the first saved entry; reopening the page does not extend it. Expired drafts are removed on the next access or while the page remains open. Conversation history, submitted copies and distance proofs are not part of this draft. On a shared device, other people with access to the same browser profile may see the draft. Local storage itself sends nothing to us or an AI provider. Separate session storage may retain the language and an enquiry’s identifier, checksum and delivery status; a session cookie named damico_locale contains only the language. Session storage and this cookie normally remain until the tab or browser session closes; browsers may restore sessions.
For new explicit submission attempts, an additional checksum of the original enquiry stays in session storage. It is bound to the website origin and the original details. Together with the reference, it lets you deliberately make a read-only check of an uncertain receipt after reloading. This check sends no current input fields and cannot send an enquiry. It confirms only a matching existing receipt; a missing or failed check does not lift the duplicate-submission block. The checksum contains neither a submitted copy nor a distance proof. Older attempts without this record may require personal clarification.
When you enter through the main address, we choose the language from your existing session choice or the language preferences sent by your browser. Direct language links take priority. The language selector lets you choose German, English, French or Italian. This choice contains no conversation or contact data and is stored only for the session described above.
You can delete website data in your browser settings. This does not delete an email already sent or a downloaded file. The website does not use cookies for advertising or tracking across websites.
Submitted enquiries are accessible to the responsible people at Pizza D’Amico. Providers are Vercel for the website, Google for Apps Script and email, Microsoft (Outlook/Hotmail) for an additional mailbox, swisstopo for Swiss addresses and HeiGIT for fallback address search/routes. Groq processes only the described public question context when AI is configured and automatic mode is active, not your structured enquiry fields.
To send enquiry and confirmation emails, Google Apps Script passes recipient addresses and the complete email content to Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.). This includes the submitted contact and event details, such as name, email, phone number, location and guest count. Resend also processes technical sending and delivery information and may process data in the United States and other countries. We do not use individual opening or click tracking.
Vercel, Google, Microsoft and, where applicable, Groq may process data in the United States and other countries. These countries may have different data protection rules from Switzerland. Processing in a country without adequate statutory protection is subject to the safeguards or exceptions required by applicable law, such as recognised standard data protection clauses or certification of the recipient under an applicable data privacy framework. Certification applies only to the certified recipient and its actual scope.
Provider information: Google privacy , Vercel privacy , Microsoft (Outlook/Hotmail), Resend and Groq privacy. Our privacy contact can also provide information about the service used for your enquiry.
We process data to provide and secure the website, answer questions you choose to ask, handle your requested enquiry and communicate with you. Where the GDPR applies, handling an enquiry is based on pre-contractual measures and necessary technical processing on legitimate interests in secure operation. The described AI data flows concern free questions only; the normal contact route does not require AI. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved.
Enquiry emails and business records are retained for as long as needed for handling the enquiry, subsequent cooperation or legal obligations. Technical logs and delivery records support operation and abuse prevention. We restrict access and use encrypted transmission. We do not make exclusively automated booking decisions; enquiries are reviewed personally.
You may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. Depending on the applicable law and conditions, rights to receive or transfer data, restrict processing or object may also apply. Voluntary consent can be withdrawn for the future. Legal obligations and legitimate retention grounds may limit immediate complete deletion. We may request suitable proof of identity to process a request.
